For over two decades, Devon Munro has fought in state and federal courts for individuals and businesses on a variety of subjects. As a goal-driven trial lawyer, he believes in straightforward communication with his clients, juries, and opponents. Because effective advocacy begins with mutual, working trust, Devon listens to his clients’ priorities and builds his litigation strategy around those goals, with determination and vision. He considers alternatives to litigation, when appropriate and best for his clients, and is always open to negotiating creative solutions.
His track record in verdicts, settlements, and reputation proves that Devon has the rare skills to navigate mazelike pathways of facts and law while simplifying the main points and communicating them effectively. He has achieved major verdicts and settlements as a trial lawyer prosecuting personal injury, product liability, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases. Devon also represents executives and corporations in commercial and employment disputes, earning significant results in litigating noncompetition agreements, whistleblower cases, wage & hour litigation, business and insurance, and property rights cases. This included developing and shepherding to nationwide settlement two federal class actions. He also has the unusual privilege of having briefed and argued multiple, successful appeals before the Virginia Supreme Court.
Devon also developed substantial trial practice as a former North Carolina prosecutor, where he was responsible for prosecuting all of the felonies and misdemeanors in two counties.
Based on his abilities and character, Devon has earned the highest-category "AV" rating by Martindale-Hubbell from his peers in the legal community and enjoys consistent praise from clients on his sincere devotion to their interests and ongoing communication.
